I grew up in Dhaka, Bangladesh, until I moved to the United States in 2017 for my undergraduate degree. I have always loved problem-solving in physics and math, which culminated in my inclusion to the national delegation to the Asian and International Physics Olympiad in 2015. At Columbia, I have explored my research interest in optics and novel materials under Prof. Nanfang Yu for the first two summers. Currently, in Prof. Asenjo-Garcia’s group, I am working on implementations of cluster-state quantum computation. During my free time, I like to browse through the archives of the American Journal of Physics.
