Pau Blancafort

I was born and raised in Barcelona. My interest in space and fluid dynamics led me to pursue a double degree in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Physics at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where I discovered my passion for quantum mechanics and statistical physics. Currently, I am completing my bachelor’s thesis on quantum optics at Columbia University. Outside of my studies, I enjoy spending time in the mountains — hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter — and playing the trombone.
