Amaya Calvo Sanchez

I was brought up in Torrelavega in northern Spain, then moved to London to pursue a degree in Physics with Theoretical Physics at Imperial College, where I have just finished my third year. I am interested in quantum optics and quantum information and have joined the group for a summer placement to explore these interests. My internship is supported by the Stevenson Fund at Imperial College and I am passionate about access and other issues for gender minorities in Physics. Outside of academics, I enjoy live music and used to be a decent classical guitarist – now just an okay one.
